Living locally - the role of local banking

We were delighted to be invited recently by Bath & NE Somerset Council (Banes) to take part in a webinar on Living Locally as part of their Climate and Nature Emergency Festival.

The Festival was part of the follow-on from the recent publication of the Banes future strategy One Shared Vision which Avon Mutual's Founder Jules Peck collaborated on.

For the webinar Jules joined a panel including Stephen Hilton, Director City Global Futures and One Shared Vision author, Chris Head, Director of West of England Rural Network, Sam Ross, Chair of Farmborough Parish Council and founding member of Farmborough Community Shop and Cllr Sarah Warren, Banes Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Climate and Nature Emergency.

The panel discussed a variety of issues related to the wider climate and nature emergency and Jules talked about the role of Avon Mutual as a local community bank in tackling these issues and helping our region to 'live locally'.

You can view a recording of the panel here.
